Meissner’s European Manufacturing Site in Castlebar, Ireland
Meissner is now manufacturing single-use systems at its new facility in Castlebar, Ireland. The Co. Mayo site features a state of the art 930 m² (10,000 ft²) ISO class 7 cleanroom, and is over 3900 m² (42,000 ft²). This site is manufacturing SUS for our biopharmaceutical and pharmaceutical clients.
Meissner was able to bring the Castlebar site online with manufacturing capabilities in just over one year. By purchasing the IDA’s new Advanced Technology Building, Meissner was able to realize these manufacturing capabilities quickly, allowing us to best serve our growing global client base.
The additional land secured in the initial building purchase will allow for future expansion plans. The groundwork for this expansion is set to begin later this year.
