There is big news to share from Athens-Clarke County, Georgia. On October 6, 2026, Meissner celebrated a double milestone: theโฏribbon cutting for our new X-ray irradiation services facilityโฏand theโฏgroundbreaking for Phase 2 of our Athens manufacturing campus.ย
More Capacity, More Resilience
Our new X-ray services add critical irradiation capacity for Meissner products and for other clients who need it. Bringing this capability in-house means we can ship irradiated, process-ready solutions to our pharmaceutical and biotech customers faster than ever.
Phase 2 will add new manufacturing space to the Athens campus and grow our East Coast capabilities. It will complement our headquarters campus in Camarillo, California, and our facility in Castlebar, Ireland, strengthening our global supply network.
A Word from Our CEO
Christopher Meissner shared that customers are asking for more sterilization capacity and more resilient supply chains, and that Athens is how we deliver both. He also thanked our partners in Athens-Clarke County and the State of Georgia, and the people of Meissner who make this growth possible.
Growing Together
Our Athens campus at 520 Meissner Avenue was announced in 2023 as a $250 million investment, and weโre still hiring across quality, scientific, engineering, and IT roles. Weโre also collaborating with the University of Georgia, Georgia Tech, Athens Technical College, and other regional institutions. Ready to join us? Visit our careers page atโฏwww.meissner.com.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this day possible. We canโt wait to see what comes next in Athens!
