Stainless Steel Filling Needles are precision components used in critical Final Fill operations to dispense sterile liquids into final containers. Each needle combines passivated stainless steel tubing with a polypropylene hub that is injection molded directly onto the metal, minimizing machining steps and operator handling for consistent, aseptic performance.
What sets Meissner’s Stainless steel needles apart from others in industry?

The fluid path is constructed of passivated stainless steel tubing, with a hub and hose barb made of injection molded polypropylene. All fluid path materials are certified Animal Component Free (ACF). Each needle is supplied with a non-fluid contact protective polycarbonate sheath to protect the tip and tubing during handling and transport.

Yes. What quality and regulatory testing do the needles undergo?
The needles are tested to USP <85> Bacterial Endotoxins, USP <87> Biological Reactivity Tests (In Vitro), USP <88> Biological Reactivity Tests (In Vivo for Class VI-121°C Plastics), USP <661> Physicochemical Tests for Plastics, and USP <788> Particulate Matter in Injections. Product qualification also includes shelf life, dimensional testing, dosing accuracy, and gamma irradiation testing.
What packaging and sterility options are available?
Filling needles are available as a non-sterile 10-pack, a gamma-irradiated 10-pack, or a single non-sterile sample, allowing flexibility for evaluation, qualification, and production use.
